Scope and input data

What to prepare

Provide location, rotor type and mass, speed, symptoms and access to correction planes. Agree diagnosis, safe trial runs, correction method, downtime and final verification. On-site limits are assessed separately from workshop balancing capacity.

Agree the method, tolerances, checks and required records before work starts.

Balancing at your facility

Fans and induced-draught fans

Impellers in ventilation, extraction and flue-gas systems.

Blowers and air movers

Rotating assemblies with access to measurement points and correction planes.

Process rotors

Balancing in the existing bearings is assessed following a site survey.

A clear route from request to handover.

  1. 01

    Plan the visit

Review equipment data, site, access and the available shutdown window.

  2. 02

    Diagnosis and trial runs

Assess condition and measure initial vibration at an agreed operating point.

  3. 03

    Correct imbalance

Perform trial-weight measurements and the agreed correction.

  4. 04

    Verify and report

Repeat measurements and record results, operating conditions and recommendations.

04 / Service request
